General Questions about "myTipGenie" app for users:

1. Question: Is "myTipGenie" app available for Android users?

    Answer: "myTipGenie" app  is not available in Android yet.  We are working to provide a solution for any model phone by the end of this summer. 

2. Question: Do I have to pay a fee for using the tipping feature?

    Answer: The "myTipGenie" app is FREE.  If you send a tip, a portion of the tip will be used to pay our payment vendor's transaction fee.

3. Question: Can I leave feedback without leaving a tip?

    Answer: Absolutely, the goal is to get your input on the experience you have with the staff members and about the business. 

4. Question: Will TipGenie, Inc. sell my information? 

    Answer: TipGenie, Inc. respects your privacy.  We will never sell your information.

5. Question: Is my financial information secure?     

    Answer: Your financial information is stored encrypted on a third party (Stripe) server. TipGenie, Inc. does not store any of your financial
                  information on our servers. 

6. Question: Will the staff member get a notification of my tip and/or my feedback?

    Answer: The staff member will receive an instant notification that they have received a tip and/or any feedback.  All comments are sent directly to                  management in real-time.

7. Question: Is there a limit on the amount of tip I can leave through the “myTipGenie” app?

    Answer: Yes, the maximum amount of a tip is $50.00. 

8. Question: Can I cancel the tip transactions?

    Answer: All tip transactions are final.   

9. Question: How will the transaction appear on my credit card statement?

    Answer: The transaction will show as “TipGenie, Inc. – Mountain View, CA” on your billing statement.

1. Question: Do I have to have a smartphone to use be part of the TipGenie, Inc. Program?

    Answer: You just need to be able to receive text messages and have access to email.

2. Question: Can guests leave feedback without leaving a tip?

    Answer: You just need to be able to receive text messages and have access to email.

3. Question: Can guests leave feedback without leaving a tip?

    Answer: Yes, the goal is to gain feedback for you along with your employee.  Any feedback makes service better

4. Question: Who pays for the "myTipGenie" app?

    Answer:  The "myTipGenie" app is FREE.  If you receive a tip, a portion of the amount will be used to pay our payment vendor's transaction fee.                         TipGenie, Inc. charges no fees to use the program.

5. Question: How will the transaction fees affect my tips?

    Answer: TipGenie, Inc. doesn’t charge any transaction fees.  Stripe will process the mobile transactions.  They charge 2.9% plus $0.30 applied to                      each transaction. 

6. Question: Does the TipGenie, Inc. Program deduct taxes?

    Answer: NO!  TipGenie, Inc. can generate a 1099 tax form if requested.
